ACE Membership Guidlines

Post  Spirit on Tue Aug 18, 2009 8:38 pm

During the last round we found a few rules were needed to make ACE a top alliance.

1. You must be an active member of this forum! Both attack and defense information is shared here. Resource needs are shared here. Members
coordinating these actions talk here. If you are not watching activity here, then you cannot participate effectively. This is grounds for
expulsion from the alliance.

2. You MUST GET A SITTER. Do not wait until you are leaving for a vacation. Get one NOW

ACE requires everyone to have at least one sitter from our alliance and to serve as a sitter for at least one player from our alliance. This is a great way to make new friends, develop trust, learn from each other and grow faster. IGM's will be sent out now and then to ask you who you sit for and who your sitters are. Failure to answer these IGM's is grounds for expulsion.

We had problems with spy's in the previous round. In many cases the spy turned out to be a player from outside of ACE who was sitting for one of our people. If a player from outside of ACE approaches you and asks to be your sitter (threatening you or offering you protection) let an officer know about it and we will help you. In the previous round players who did not ask for our help but instead gave into to these threats/offers did not make it to end game.
There are many ways to deal with people like this. Know that you are not alone and do not have to give in to them

3. Lack of growth and frequent yellow or red dotting will be grounds for expulsion. Grey dotting is an automatic expulsion.

4. Travian Rule Violations. This will be on a case by case basis. Examples are noted below.

This is a family friendly alliance alliance. Foul language will not tolerated. Think PG13 movies or Prime Time TV. You can have fun without being vulgar.

Having multiple accounts on the server and then getting suspended is obvious cheating and hurts the alliance. I would vote to kick you out and farm you when you return. After a month of no growth you will be an easy target.

Getting an short suspension for violating pushing rules or sitting an account for more than two weeks might not get you kicked out. This is just a stupid mistake. As I said, case by case.

5. Finally, PARTICIPATE! This does not mean you have to be chatty and talk it up with in game memos (IGMs) or on the forum.
We understand some do not like to type or talk. A simple one sentence note like, "Sending spears and wheat" in an attack forum thread lets us know you are watching and helping as much as you can.

Being in this alliance is a matter of MUTUAL protection. My biggest pet peeve is active, growing members who never contribute troops to a defense/offense and, never send resources. These players quietly sim-city behind the reputation and shields of active ACE members. In the last round, some of our largest members were doing this. They became angry when asked to help. By the end of the game, they had been wiped out by other alliances. No one helped them when they needed help. What goes around comes around.

If you have a "lone wolf" mentality then you should not be here. Go have fun chasing your rabbits until a grizzly finds you (or a bigger wolf).

We operate as a pack here! When the grizzly bear attacks one wolf he has dinner. When he attacks our pack he becomes dinner. Twisted Evil
